Name:Jiazhou Liu
Bio:

I’m a final year PhD student in Data Visualisation and Immersive Analytics (DVIA) lab at Monash University, Australia. My PhD thesis title is Multi-View Visualisation for Data Comparison in Immersive Environments. My supervisors are Prof. Tim Dwyer (main), Dr Barrett Ens, and Dr Arnaud Prouzeau.

My research focuses on exploring the effect of display layout in 3D space on data analysis tasks. My research area also covers spatial memory and embodied interaction. I’m also interested in novel VR interactions, such as foot interactions. I’m currently exploring the design space of visualisation view management, such as using proxemics to implicitly interact with views and using the foot to interact with floor surfaces in VR.
